From 20–23 November 2025, the project team – Karsten Brüggemann, Airi Uuna, Kristo Nurmis, Timur Guzairov and Uku Lember – participated in the ASEEES 57th Annual Convention in Washington, DC, held under the theme “Memory.”
As part of the convention, the team organized a roundtable “Everyday Life in the ‘Soviet West’: Individual and Collective Agency in the Estonian SSR.” The roundtable presented the project’s ongoing research and discussed methodological challenges with a lively audience of fellow scholars. The discussant of the roundtable was William Jay Risch, Professor of Russian and Eastern European History at Georgia College & State University.
